Gossip

After a powerful show during the 2009 festival, we wanted Gossip back on the Main Square stage. The success of “Music for Men”, their latest album released in summer 2009, has not declined as its tracks are so rousing and catchy they create an irresistible desire to dance. 

In less than 6 years, the music of Gossip, who hail from Arkansas, has spread far and wide. They are young and highly charged. “We are a punk group made up of three human beings. We are interested in art, crime, politics, food, change, the subway, dance, fashion, substance, taste, despair, desire, individuals and subversive movements. With their 3rd album "Standing in the Way of Control", Beth Ditto and friends have become real stars of rock'n'roll and icons for a whole generation.

With their hybrid rock-disco-punk-dance compositions served up in Beth’s exceptional voice, France can’t resist them and they have got the whole world dancing. On 4 July the explosive, rhythmic Gossip storm will once again hit festival-goers, but this time it’s a premier at the Citadel in Arras.
